Who is responsible for your data

What data we collect

When you book online, you give us:

• the name of the parent or legal guardian;
• the child's name;
• the child's age;
• a phone number;
• an email address;
• the language you'd like to receive messages in;
• the reason for the visit, such as the type of appointment or a short description of the problem.

The reason for the visit may include information about your child's health. Please write only what's needed to book; the dentist will ask about details at the appointment.

Why we use it

We use the data only to book the appointment: to confirm the time, contact you if it changes and send you an email about the booking in your language. We don't use it for advertising, newsletters or profiling.

Legal basis

We process the data to book your child's appointment at your request, which means taking steps before providing a medical service (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

We process health information in the reason for the visit on the basis of your explicit consent, which you give in the booking form (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time; this doesn't affect processing that has already taken place.

How long we keep it

We keep booking requests for 12 months. After that we delete the name, phone number, email address and reason for the visit, and only an anonymised record remains for statistics.

Medical records are kept separately under Slovak law and are not part of the website data.

Who receives it

Only practice staff can see the data. On the technical side, these services process it:

• a hosting provider with servers in the European Union, which runs the website and the booking database;
• the email service Resend, which sends you emails about your booking;
• Telegram, which the practice administrator uses to get notified of new requests.

If a service processes data outside the European Union, the transfer takes place under conditions the GDPR allows, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Cookies

The website doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies. There is one technical cookie that remembers the language you chose.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can:

• find out what data we hold about you and your child and get a copy;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• ask us to delete the data;
• restrict processing;
• receive the data in a machine-readable format;
• object to processing;
• withdraw your consent at any time.

Children's data

A parent or legal guardian books the appointment for the child. We receive the child's data only from them.
